A slow burn from Seattle
to Ngwo
It started with a glance through a car window.
It was a warm summer Saturday in Seattle, 2024. Augustine was pulling up to a wine party when he spotted Chisom walking along the pavement. He slowed his car β she looked so familiar, like someone he must have known in another life.
They met properly inside, but nothing declared itself that evening. Just an encounter that somehow lingered.
Over the months that followed, their paths kept crossing. Each time something shifted β almost imperceptibly, then all at once.

First glance. A wine party in Seattle. Augustine spots Chisom from his car β she looked like someone he must have known.
Late 2024
A slow gathering. Six months of encounters, conversations, and a growing sense that something was quietly shifting.
July 2025
The letter. Written from his travels β "will you be my girlfriend?" She said she'd think about it.

She decided. On his birthday, she introduced herself as his girlfriend. The best gift he didn't ask for.

The proposal. Valentine's Day weekend β he asked the bigger question. She said yes.
