A slow burn from Seattle
It started with a glance through a car window.
It was a warm summer Saturday in Seattle, 2024. Augustine was pulling up to a wine party when he spotted Chisom walking along the pavement. He slowed his car — she looked so familiar, like someone he must have known in another life.
They met properly inside, but nothing declared itself that evening. Just an encounter that somehow lingered.
Over the months that followed, their paths kept crossing. Each time something shifted — almost imperceptibly, then all at once.

The letter. Written from his travels — "will you be my girlfriend?" She said she'd think about it.
